BASIC FUNCTION: The Internal Auditor is responsible for monitoring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and statues for the Casino. This position will utilize the Internal Audit Program and Risk Assessment Methodology to document standardized audits and evaluate risk. Abides by the Internal Audit Charter in execution of daily audit activities while maintaining independence and objectivity. Additionally, the Internal Auditor will provide support to the Internal Audit Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Obtained or in pursuit of a Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Communications, Computer Science, Gaming Management, or Hospitality.
Be 21 years of age upon employment.
Receive a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
Obtain and maintain a valid, Level 2 Indiana gaming license.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred:
Two years prior experience in audit, accounting or compliance.
Audit profession related certifications such as CIA, CFE, CISA, or CRMA.
Understanding of gaming protection and how businesses (Table Games, Slot Operations, Cage, Surveillance, Security, et. al.) within the gaming industry operate.
Experience in evaluating statistical reports and other business reports.
Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally; ability to write routine business correspondence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assess gaming operations to determine compliance with Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations, Internal Controls and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Identify and report to business unit management and executive management results of audits and independent reviews including noted deficiencies, recommendations, and corrective actions. Additionally, report to Board Committees of the Board of Directors including to help plan and lead regularly scheduled Audit Committee Meetings.
Develop and maintain knowledge of industry requirements regarding Gaming and Hospitality.
Performs other related duties as assigned by Management.
